WOULD YOU LIKE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN A REFUGEE CHILD’S LIFE? VOLUNTEER AS A MENTOR

You can make a huge difference to the life of a child who often feels isolated and anxious at school. With your willingness to form a strong relationship with a child and through your assistance to develop language skills, a refugee student is able to considerably improve his/her capacity to succeed at school and in the wider Australian community. As a volunteer for Mercy Connect, you are allocated a student, or a small group of students, and you assist at their primary or secondary school for half a day per week during the school year. Teaching qualifications are not necessary but experience with children is required. Training in late June and commencement at a school is in mid-July. To request an Application Form, please contact Jennifer Davies at: Mercy Connect Perth Telephone: 9328 6991; Email: mercyconnectp@mercy.org.au; Website: www.mercyworks.org.au
