WEDNESDAY FAITH PROGRAM – WED 25th NOV AT 10AM ADVENT REFLECTIONS
Advent is fast approaching! Naturally, for our last session of the year, on Wednesday 25th Nov – just a few days before the 1st Sunday of Advent – our focus will be on our spiritual preparation during this holy season. In a video talk, Bishop Robert Barron will speak to us about God’s Holy Mountain, based on Isaiah Chapter 2 and poses the question: “What is the highest mountain in your life?” It is both a spiritual challenge and a point of meditation as we reflect on what is at the top and centre of our lives.
Following the video talk and a reflection/sharing session, we will contemplate the Mass readings for the 1st Sunday of Advent, using the Adore Advent booklet published by the diocese of Wollongong.
We will end the session with refreshments and fellowship – to celebrate and give thanks that despite the interruptions and disruptions to our lives and parish activities during the year, the Faith Program has been able to pick up where we left off and grow stronger. All are welcome to our final session for the year – even if you have not been before.
What, when and where: Advent Reflections, Wed 25th Nov at 10am, Parish meeting room, next to the office.
Enquiries: Carolin 0432 855 605 / Su 0413 560 033
In closing, the team led by our spiritual guide and mentor, Sr Ann Cullinane, would like to thank Fr Phong for his support and encouragement of the Wednesday Faith Program which Sr Ann started in 2016, with the blessing of then parish priest, Fr Philip Perreau. We also sincerely thank the Bateman parishioners and friends who have made this ministry a rewarding and fulfilling one for the team by your attendance and support. We will be back in 2021 with more programs for your spiritual enrichment. Finally, our sincere thanks to Juliana, Ratinda and the team in the parish office who have provided invaluable assistance over the years. May God bless you all.
