NEW PARISH EMAIL ADDRESSES

Dear Parishioners and Parents
As you are aware, there is currently much consultation taking place with regard to the possible amalgamation of Yidarra Catholic Primary School and Corpus Christi College.
Each of the four sub-committees has met at least once and the school/parish representatives involved are keen to hear the views of as many people as possible.
The following link will take you to the survey and to some frequently asked questions (thus far).
Please note that the survey is open from now until next Monday 19th October 2020.

WEDNESDAY FAITH PROGRAM – WED 28TH OCT AT 10AM
“Be holy, because I, the Lord your God, am holy.” Matt 5:48
When we hear these familiar words spoken by Jesus, many of us probably think: “That’s not possible for me. I’m not a saint. Jesus was only speaking figuratively.”
Theologian Fr (now Bishop) Robert Barron begs to differ. In fact, he believes that the greatest calling for all of us is to be a saint and our ultimate path to holiness is full of Untold Blessing. And that’s the title of the next video series in our Wednesday Faith Program – Untold Blessing: Three Paths to Holiness.
Presented by Bishop Barron in his down-to-earth yet captivating style, the videos will be shown on the following dates:
Place & Time: Parish meeting room 10am -11.30am
In Path 1 Fr Barron shows us that when Christ is unambiguously the centre of our life, everything falls into a harmonious pattern around it. As Christ says, “Seek ye first the kingdom of God and ……all these things shall be added to you.” When we allow Christ to be the centre and anchor of our life, we can be at peace even when there’s turmoil all around – like Jesus sleeping peacefully in Peter’s boat amidst a storm. In conclusion Fr Barron also gives us an eye-opening perspective on the Beatitudes in the gospel of Luke 6:20-23.
Come and join us as we journey towards holiness on Wed 28 October.
All are welcome. Do come early to make a cuppa for yourself before we settle down for the video. The video will be followed by a short reflection and sharing.

Our Holy Father asks us, if we can, to follow-up our prayers with charitable support. Alternatively, you can call 0488 854 436 and then text GIVE on your mobile phone, then follow the prompts to make your donation (include your parish name in the notes field). You will receive a confirmation text and email with your receipt immediately. Tithe.ly is the donation platform; it is a COVID-safe way of donating whilst protecting your privacy.
We will always be grateful for your prayers and charitable response. Should you like more information about our overseas projects, or on leaving a bequest, or on volunteering to support the work of Catholic Mission, please contact Francis Leong at email@example.com
